Important Announcement

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Graduate Study Unit at Prince Sultan University announces that the English Proficiency requirements will be postponed temporarily.
Students can apply now and get conditional admission. The IELTS or TOEFL scores must be received by the Graduate Study Unit no later than 20 August 2020 or the application will be dismissed.

Eligibility Requirements

Academic Qualification

Applicant must have a four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution recognized by the Ministry of Education. Applicant has to have studied the undergraduate degree as a Full Time student. Applicants with undergraduate degrees obtained through distance learning or part-time arrangements will not be considered for admission to the program. Each Master’s program requires the bachelor’s degree to be in a certain field for admission eligibility. The following table shows the requirement for each program:

Master of Science in Cybersecurity Bachelor degree must be from Cyber Security, Computer Science or related disciplines
Master of Commercial Law Bachelor degree must be in Law
Master of Engineering Managment Bachelor Degree must be in Engineering, Computing, Architecture, or Design​


A minimum GPA of “Very Good” (GPA of 2.75 out of 4.00, or 3.75 out of 5.00) for the undergraduate degree must be obtained. However, holders of undergraduate degrees with a General GPA of “High Good” (GPA of 2.25 out of 4.00, or 3.25 out of 5.00) might be admitted to the program, if their GPA for the Major (Primary Area of Study) is at least “Very Good”.


All applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit the result of the TOEFL or IELTS which has been taken within the last two years as evidence of English proficiency. Graduating from an institution which use English as a medium of instructions does not elevate you from taking the TOFEL or IELTS unless you are native English speaker. The following table shows the minimum score required by each master’s program:

Other Requirements


Application must be submitted online to the Graduate Studies Office. The entire application must be completed online and no application will be accepted in any other format.


The DGSR requires that you submit a copy of your resume (in English) with your application. Upload your resume with the other documents required to be uploaded. We prefer a one-page resume. Do not submit a resume that is longer than two pages. In your resume, please list your academic and non-academic training experience (business, professional, research, military, etc.). Include the institution or organization (name, city, and country), the nature of your work, and the dates for each listing.

Work Experience

Work experience is not a requirement for the admission; however, it is very important in overall evaluation of your application. If you have work experience, please specify the number of year in your resume.

Statement Of Purpose

This is applicable only to the Master of Commercial Law program. You need to provide a statement of purpose presenting your reasons and intentions of studying the program. Also you may write why you have selected Prince Sultan University for studying the program.

Recommendation Letters

You are required to submit two letters of recommendation (copies). However, these recommendations can be sent directly by the referees to or can be brought with you in sealed envelopes only once you are called for the interview.


After an initial evaluation of completed applications, Admissions Committee will schedule interviews by invitation only if needed. Interview provides the Admissions Committee with additional information on your qualifications and career goals.
