The goals and objectives enable the institution to achieve its vision by fulfilling its mission.

Long-term planning is inwardly focused, it tries to optimize for tomorrow the trends of today by specifying goals and objectives while Strategic planning is sensitive to the external environment by being focused on identifying & resolving issues.
3. Why is Strategic planning important for PSU?
Strategic planning is essential for PSU to find its competitive advantage and place in the environment. It provides PSU with a focus on changing needs, requirements, and demands of different external and internal stakeholders. It provides the direction, priorities, and framework which align the university with its environment.
4. What is the approach in strategy implementation?
Strategy implementation is the management of outcomes rather than milestones. Implementation includes centralized program coordination, disciplined project management, and coordinated stakeholder management.
