The College of Architecture and Design organized a field trip for its students to the 7th edition of the Tuwaiq International Sculpture Symposium, one of the leading artistic initiatives under the Riyadh Art Program, affiliated with the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. The symposium brings together a distinguished group of artists from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and around the world.
The visit took place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, under the supervision of Ms. Shouaa Al-Rajeh from the Design Department and Dr. Salma Dwidar from the Architecture Department. The visit aimed to enhance students’ theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of visual arts.
The field trip included guided tours introducing students to the art of sculpture, observing artworks during various stages of execution, as well as participating in interactive workshops designed specifically for students.
It is worth noting that the symposium seeks to open new artistic dialogues and provide cultural platforms that enable local and international artists to connect, collaborate, and produce contemporary sculptures that contribute to enriching Riyadh’s cultural landscape and become an integral part of its urban fabric
