Bachelor of Law
Prince Sultan University (PSU) College of Law is a leader in Legal Education in Saudi Arabia. The Law College boasts a strong Faculty of Law and enjoys growing numbers of capable and ambitious students. The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) program is noted for the excellence of its design, breadth and distinctiveness. The LLB curriculum was drafted in consultation and concert with Faculty of Law professors from the Universities of Richmond, Harvard and Cambridge with the objective to tailor a program that graduates legal professionals for today's world. Toward that end all Law graduates are schooled in the following fields of law:
- Administrative Law
- International Law.
- Civil Law.
- Islamic Law.
- Commercial Law.
- Legal writing
- Criminal Law.
The features of the LLB Law curriculum design that distinguish it from other Law programs in the Kingdom are its tracks, bilingual hallmark and the wealth of opportunities that await its graduates. The first adds depth to breadth. When the Law students enter their seventh term (i.e. Senior Year), they elect one of three tracks featuring five advanced courses in these fields:
- Advanced Saudi Law.
- Commercial Law.
- International Law.
- General Track.
The above specializations were identified by the Law curriculum designers as those most needed by the local and global markets for lawyers and legal professionals. The bilingual nature of the program e.g. over 40% of the PSU courses are in English for those Law students electing the Commercial Law and International Law tracks to optimize the range of job opportunities. To date College of Law students upon their graduation have been well received in a variety of Saudi work place venues with some going directly on to postgraduate programs abroad as well. Summing up, Prince Sultan University's Law College is the place for the youth of today to begin their quest for promising careers in Law.
