The College of Architecture and Design at Prince Sultan University hosted a thought-provoking lecture last week titled “Arab Modernity: Cities, History, and Culture,” delivered by the distinguished Academic and Adjunct Professor of Architecture at Columbia University Dr. Yasser Al-Shishtawy. The lecture examined the dynamic relationship between people, place, and identity in Arab cities, highlighting the cultural and historical forces shaping contemporary urban environments.

The event offered valuable insights into the role of architecture and urban design in fostering social interaction and cultural belonging, enriching academic dialogue and reflecting the College’s commitment to advancing architectural knowledge and discourse
