Student Activity Committee in the Communications and Networks Engineering Department Organizes Field Trip to the National Control Center – Saudi Electricity Company

The Student Activity Committee in the Communications and Networks Engineering Department organized a field trip to the National Control Center (NCC) at the Saudi Electricity Company on Wednesday, 17 September 2025.

The objective of the visit was to explore the control rooms, learn about renewable energy systems, and review key figures and general information related to the energy sector. This program provided students with a valuable opportunity to connect their academic knowledge with practical applications in the fields of electric energy.

The committee chair, Dr. Mourad Rizk, extends his sincere appreciation to the Saudi Electricity Company for their generous hospitality in hosting this educational visit, as well as to the faculty members and students who contributed to its success.

This visit comes as part of the Student Activity Committee’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with leading companies in the engineering field, bridging the gap between academic studies and industry practices, and preparing students for a deeper understanding of modern industrial technologies.
