Bachelor of Science in Information Systems

Among the programs offered by the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Prince Sultan University (PSU), the Information Systems (IS) program allows the students to gain a comprehensive understanding of information systems theory, principles, and practical applications as part of the program, which emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). To ensure that students develop a deep understanding of information systems' social and ethical implications, the IS program was designed carefully to foster a more equitable and inclusive technology landscape by exploring diverse perspectives and addressing challenges faced by underrepresented groups. The Information systems program aims to produce university graduates who can develop sustainable information systems, which can significantly improve business processes and public performance. The graduates are provided with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve this goal by designing the courses that prepare them for critical analysis and addressing these issues within the context of information systems in inclusive learning environments by promoting collaboration and teamwork, emphasizing the importance of diverse teams in developing innovative and inclusive solutions. Additionally, the senior project allows students to participate equally in information systems research and projects that explore diverse ideas. As part of our collaboration with industry, the COOP program and other joint activities allow students to be exposed to real-world applications and can gain insight from professionals who are actively working to address the industry's challenges.
