The Energy, Water, and Environment (EWE) Lab at Prince Sultan University is actively seeking highly skilled postdoctoral researchers in the field of materials science with a dedicated focus on biowaste transformation. Successful candidates should have extensive expertise in the design and fabrication of intricate nanostructures, excel in materials characterization, and demonstrate practical applications expertise, particularly in the domains of biowaste transformation. Requirements:
- Recent PhD degree in physics / chemistry / materials science from a reputable institution.
- Strong background in recycling and biowaste transformation.
- Excellent skills in the synthesis of nanomaterials.
- Strong background and hands-on experience in material’s characterization including but not limited to TG/DSC, XRD, FTIR, Raman, XPS, SEM, TEM, AFM, Microwave technique, UV-vis, PL, BET, etc.
- Data analysis and interpretation using fundamental concepts alongside modelling and simulation.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Can work independently with a cross-disciplinary team and take responsibility for the progress and quality of the work.
- Has the ability to work with challenging complex projects.
- Motivated and active.
- Must have a good number of publications in reputable journals related to the field.

- Conduct high quality research using state-of-the-art characterization techniques.
- Collaborate with the lab members to tackle interesting problems.
- Contribute to EWE Lab activities and participate actively in seminars, trainings, and workshops.
- Establish internal and external collaboration.

Position details and benefits:
- The employment will be based on a one-year contract renewable upon mutual agreement up to 4 years.
