The Structures and Materials Research Laboratory at the College of Engineering, Prince Sultan University, Riyadh (KSA) is currently seeking a highly motivated Visiting PhD student specializing in the field of Composite Materials and Structures. Our university warmly welcomes Visiting PhD students from around the globe. This Visiting PhD Program is designed as a "non-degree-seeking" initiative, catering to guest PhD candidates who wish to undertake a research stint at PSU for a maximum duration of 6 months. We recommend that the PhD student be in the final two years of their doctoral studies and have achieved significant progress in their research. Following their stay, Visiting PhD candidates return to their respective home institutions.

The responsibilities of a Visiting PhD in this program encompass engaging in research activities under the guidance of our research lab leaders and members, contributing to publications in esteemed journals and conferences, and delivering seminars and training sessions to facilitate knowledge transfer. The principal objective of this initiative is to foster greater collaboration between the visiting scholar's home university and PSU.

Areas of interests includes:

• Data-driven & ML composite materials design,
• Composite tubes for energy storage and transportation,
• Modeling and testing 3D printed composites,
• Fiber-reinforced polymeric composites at extreme conditions,
• Joining composite structures,
• Green composites: environmental impact, material design, and analysis.

Prince Sultan University provides the following benefits to the candidate:
