B.S. Mechanical Engineering
The program is strategically aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 by supporting national priorities such as industrial diversification, localization of advanced technologies, renewable energy development, and strengthening the manufacturing sector. By equipping graduates with technical expertise, entrepreneurial mindset, and digital competencies, the Mechanical Engineering program contributes directly to workforce nationalization, sustainable development, and the Kingdom’s transition toward a knowledge-based economy. A Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering is awarded upon successful completion of 138 credit hours, which includes a cooperative training for 7 months to allocate student in the right track to the labor market
The Mechanical Engineering program is designed to prepare graduates for strong and diverse career opportunities in the local and global job markets. The curriculum provides a solid foundation in mathematics, basic sciences, and core mechanical engineering areas.
Through advanced courses in energy systems, aerospace, mechatronics, robotics, advanced materials, and computational methods, students gain skills that are highly demanded by industry sectors including energy, manufacturing, aerospace, construction, water desalination, and emerging technologies. The program culminates in a comprehensive two-semester senior design project that enhances innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving capabilities aligned with real industrial challenges.
