However, it was based on a noble and superior goals. The story began with the return of His Highness Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz from his medical treatment journey in 1998. In recognition of the event and the figure who served his country with time and money and spared no effort in providing anything to serve the citizens of his country, the Riyadh’s citizens led by the Governor of Riyadh back then (King Salman may Allah protect him) decided to celebrate the return of His Highness Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz from his long medical journey.
As a way to express their gratitude and love to this figure, people of Riyadh led by the governor of Riyadh “King Salman” planned for a large celebration to show their appreciations and gratefulness to Prince Sultan. The governor of Riyadh back then “the custodian of the two holy mosques) put forward the idea of benefiting from the contribution of the citizen in a project that not only benefiting as many citizen as possible but also the benefit should be a continuous one for more generations to come. The governor of Riyadh (King Salman) idea which can achieve the general benefit for the public and the continuity of these benefits was to establish a non-profit private college that bear the name of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz.
Finally, Riyadh’s Governor (King Salman) has assumed the responsibility of establishing the college and following up with the needed work without prejudice to the educational system regulations. The college follows the same regulations that are applied in public universities and colleges. He (King Salman) wanted to establish a unique and an exemplary college to be a model for other similar future projects.
