Eligibility Requirements
Before you begin the application process, be sure that you meet the following requirements:
Academic Qualification
Applicant must have a four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution recognized by the Ministry of Education. Applicant has to have studied the undergraduate degree as a Full Time student. Applicants with undergraduate degrees obtained through distance learning or part-time arrangements will not be considered for admission to the program. Each Master’s program requires the bachelor’s degree to be in a certain field for admission eligibility. The following table shows the requirement for each program:

GPA
A minimum GPA of “Very Good” (GPA of 2.75 out of 4.00, or 3.75 out of 5.00) for the undergraduate degree must be obtained. However, holders of undergraduate degrees with a General GPA of “Good” (GPA of above 2.00 out of 4.00, or 3.00 out of 5.00) might be admitted to the program based on the criteria set by the Graduate Studies Unit. The admission criteria for applicants whose GPA below very good are:
- Years of work experience in the field of study
- Professional Certification in their fields of work
- Leadership position
- IELTS or TOEFL score
- PGAT,GRE, or GMAT scores
- General and Major GPA
- Interview
TOEFL-IBT / IELTS
All applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit the result of the TOEFL-IBT or IELTS which has been taken within the last two years as evidence of English proficiency. Graduating from an institution that uses English as a medium of instruction does not exempt you from taking the TOFEL-IBT or IELTS. The following table shows the minimum score required by each master’s program:

Note:Students who obtained their Bachelor degree in a country whose native language is English are exempt from the English Proficiency Test.
Note: The English proficiency test must be taken at the official centers of TOFEL or IELTS. English online tests are not accepted.
Other Requirements
Application
Application must be submitted online to the Graduate Studies Office. The entire application must be completed online and no application will be accepted in any other format.
Post-Graduate General Aptitude Test (PGAT)
The PGAT test result is required for all applicants who are interested in obtaining a scholarship in thesis track options for the following programs: Master of Engineering Management, Master of Commercial Law, Master of Cybersecurity, Master of Software Engineering.
GMAT, GRE, PGAT score
GMAT, GRE, and PGAT are not requirements for the admission. However, applicants whose GPA is below very good are required to submit either GMAT, GRE, or PGAT score as it will be used in the admission criteria.
Resume
The DGSR requires that you submit a copy of your resume (in English) with your application. Upload your resume with the other documents required to be uploaded. We prefer a one-page resume. Do not submit a resume that is longer than two pages. In your resume, please list your academic and non-academic training experience (business, professional, research, military, etc.). Include the institution or organization (name, city, and country), the nature of your work, and the dates for each listing.
Work Experience
Work experience is not a requirement for the admission; however, it is very important in overall evaluation of your application. If you have work experience, please specify the number of year in your resume.
Statement Of Purpose
This is applicable only to the Master of Commercial Law program. You need to provide a statement of purpose presenting your reasons and intentions of studying the program. Also you may write why you have selected Prince Sultan University for studying the program.
Recommendation Letters
You are required to submit two letters of recommendation (copies). However, these recommendations can be sent directly by the referees to gradstudy@psu.edu.sa or can be brought with you in sealed envelopes only once you are called for the interview.
Interview
After an initial evaluation of completed applications, Admissions Committee will schedule interviews by invitation only if needed. Interview provides the Admissions Committee with additional information on your qualifications and career goals.
