The College of Humanities Organizes a Symposium 'Translation: Culture and Profession'
The symposium was held by the Translator Club on Wednesday 30th September in celebration of the International Translation Day. Prominent academic and professional speakers in the field of translation discussed a wide range of topics of interest to scholars, learners, as well as professional translators. Topics included 'Preparing Translators for the Job Market', presented by Dr. Ibrahim AlGirni, Dean of COLD, King Saud University; 'The Contributions of Saudi Association of Translators', presented by Dr. Muhamed Barakati, CEO of Saudi Association of Translators; 'The Future of the Translation' by Dr. Mubarak AlGhahtani, Dean of Quality & Development, KSU; 'Translation Influence on Culture', by Dr. Walid AlAmri, Taiba University; and 'Translation in Saudi Vision2030', presented by Dr. Noha AlOweidi, Saudi Electronic University.
