The Graduation Unit: Duties & Responsibilities
- Communicating with students nominated for Co-op training (CO-OP) and registering the training course on the electronic system (E-Register) during the training semesters, verifying the completion of courses, and ensuring the cumulative and Major GPA requirements are met.
- Ensuring that students with a cumulative GPA or Major GPA less than 2.00 out of 4.00 are following up on the required conditions before registering them in the Cooperative Training Course (COOP), and obtaining approval from the College Dean.
- Initiating graduation procedures for students expected to graduate a semester before graduation and preparing their data for review by relevant departments.
- Creating a list of students expected to graduate before the end of the semester and presenting it to the University Council for approval of their final results and official graduation.
- Following up on the academic status of students expected to graduate after the semester's results are published to ensure that all graduation requirements are met.
- Providing academic counseling services to academically struggling students and recommending ways to improve their GPA, including hypothetically recalculating it.
- Conducting graduation procedures for each student and maintaining a special file for each graduate.
- Ensuring that all study plan courses are successfully completed, including co-op training, and that the cumulative and Major GPA requirements are met.
- Preparing graduate students' data and presenting it to the University Council for approval of their final results and official graduation.
- Following up with graduating students to complete necessary clearance procedures and preparing data for the annual alumni directory.
- Preparing periodic and annual reports for graduates in all colleges and departments within the university, including the biannual report required by the Ministry of Education.
- Preparing the annual report of graduates for the Board of Trustees, including data for both bachelor's and master's levels for boys' and girls' colleges.
- Creating a statistical report on the number of graduates at the end of each semester, including details in numbers and graphs.
- Updating the comprehensive file on the (EXCEL) program for all university graduates, bachelor's and master's degrees, both male and female, from the start of the study until the last semester, including digital statistics and graphs.
