Inspired by Prince Sultan University's strategy and plans, the Educational scholarship Center has developed initiatives and programs aimed at promoting "sustainability," including the following key areas:
Economic Sustainability:
The Educational scholarship Administration has worked toward economic sustainability through the scholarship sponsors by
maintaining and ensuring the continuity of support from current sponsors by communicating with them regularly and
developing plans and programs to attract new sponsors.
Collaboration with Existing Sponsors:
- Enrolling students under the sponsorship of these entities and facilitating their admission to the university.
- Facilitating the course registration process for sponsored students each semester.
- Facilitating communication between sponsors and their students, including providing on-campus meeting rooms when requested
- Nominating enrolled students who are experiencing financial difficulties for additional support to help them continue their studies.
- Monitoring sponsored students’ academic progress and submitting end-of-semester reports to the respective sponsors.
Attracting New Sponsors
- Emphasizing sustainability in sponsorship agreements, aiming for support commitments of at least five years, aligning with the duration of students’ academic programs.
- Coordinating with new sponsors and arranging the signing of agreements between them and the university administration.
Administrative Sustainability:
- Developing a continuous strategic plan for managing the scholarship.
- Empowering staff by ensuring they are cross-trained in all departments of the administration, allowing for flexibility and responsiveness to operational needs.
- Making essential administrative documents accessible via Google Drive for easy reference.
- Transitioning most administrative processes to paperless operations, including grant approvals, registration initiation, reports, letters, and forms for major changes, deferments, and withdrawals.
Attracting Outstanding Students
Implementing various programs, most notably by
participating in relevant programs organized by the university or other entities, both on and off campus, targeting high school students to raise awareness of the educational grants offered by the university.
