Cooperate Education Program
The PSU COOP Education Program combines classroom learning with work experience to assist students in applying their knowledge and skills to real life situations and building strong partnerships between the PSU and the local business community. The COOP enables students to pursue future quality careers that meet the needs of the local economic and workforce development. The Communications and Networks Engineering Department has a comprehensive COOP program. The students are trained for 7 months in key firms working in Saudi Arabia. During this time span the students actively participate in the field based procedures and the department assures the students’ performance by academic supervisor, field supervisor, monthly attendance sheets and reports.
Some Coop Training Partners
Coop Experience
Coop Student: Ahmad Alfeen (2019)
Training Company: Waseela Company
As a coop student in training, my experience was very rich in information that supported my knowledge from college. CO-OP is worthed hard work that gives me the opportunity to start my career path confidently. My tasks in Waseela Company were real applicate to what I learned in PSU. In a short time, I became a ready engineer to handle projects with professionals. With all the support I get from all my instructors, I proved myself to become the one whom I can depend on.
Coop student: Abdulhameed Mahmoud Tahmaz (2019)
Training company: Dynamic Systems Solutions (DSS)
Based on the Co-Op period I spent at DSS, I totally disagree with the students who say that the Co-Op duration is very long. I never thought I would have such a Co-Op experience where I learned a lot about Networking and Security, met many experienced people, and improved my interpersonal and professional skills. Honestly, without the internship experience that I had, I would never be the same person that I'm right now. I was treated like a full-time employee, which increased my confidence and made the Co-Op outcomes for me and DSS spectacular.
Coop student: Mohammed Yahya Baseet (2019)
Training company: Arabic Computer Systems (ACS)
The level of education that I got at PSU has prepared me to encounter the problems I have faced during the COOP period. The reputation of the university and the CME department is decent. That is what I’ve heard of the HR employees. I’ve taken the CCNA Cisco certificate depending on what I’ve learned in the CME department’s networking courses. Even before the end of my COOP training period, I was offered a job in the company.
Coop Student: Belal Elshinnawey (2021)
Training Company: NourNet
My CO-OP program at NourNet provided me an opportunity to prove how valuable my time at PSU was. The CO-OP program serves as an inspiration for students to transition from an academic-based environment towards a professional work environment. In almost every department I visited at NourNet, I met someone who graduated from PSU. These PSU students who graduated years ago are still proving themselves most valuable, and they provided me a great deal of knowledge and experience.
Coop Student: Belal Qashlaq (2021)
Training Company: NourNet
During my COOP I never felt a lack of theoretical knowledge related to the CME field. In fact, the CME course curriculum at PSU has been carefully seated to enhance a student's theoretical understanding of Communication Engineering and Networking in different sectors in order to enable him to gain and explore more during his elective courses whatever he feels attracted the most. Finally, where the COOP adds much to a student's technical experience, within 28 weeks a student would have enough time to present himself to corporations that are specialized in CME related technology.
Coop Student: Ahmad Baninaser (2021)
Training Company: Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Solutions by STC
PSU prepared me to encounter the difficulties of the work professionally environment and achieve the best possible outcomes of my Coop requirements at HPE and Solutions by STC. The reputation of PSU among the market shows how much value PSU adds to its students and presents the students as valued employees to the companies. The CME department and its curriculum proves that PSU is consecutively researching the market needs and requirements, therefore showing the added value of a Communications engineering graduate from PSU a work environment.
Coop Student: Ibrahim Tayseer Abusharar (2021)
Training Company: Saudi bell and Ebttikar
After finishing my CP-OP at SBG and Ebttikar company, I found out this period is not long as most students say. The CO-OP duration is good enough to apply what we have learned in the university to real life. It lets us get to know and mix with people who have long experience and learn from them and how they handle the problems and find the solutions. Honestly, at the beginning of my CO-OP, I asked myself why we have this kind of program and why we need to do it, but now I found the answers to my questions without the CO-OP program, we could not have this much knowledge, experience and the confidence of ourselves.
Coop Student: Abdulgader Bagader (2021)
Training Company: General Authority for Competition and STC
During my seven months of training at General Authority for Competition and STC, I have learned that there is a huge difference between the academic environment and the working environment. The COOP Program helps me to increase my soft skills such as communication skills, team working and time management. I appreciate this opportunity given to students from PSU that will help to reduce the gap between different environments and be ready for the market.
Coop Student: Abdulmuhaimen Nouri (2022)
Training Company: Arabic Computer Systems
Since I went through the Co-Op period at Arabic Computer Systems company, I completely oppose this idea with the understudies who say that the Co-Op length is exceptionally long. I never thought I would have such a Co-Op involvement where I learned a part of networking, business developing and IT support, met numerous experienced individuals, and made strides in my interpersonal and proficient aptitudes. Truly, without the internship involvement that I had, I would never be the same individual that I'm right presently. I was treated like a full-time employee, which expanded my certainty and made the Co-Op results for me and ACS marvelous.
Coop Student: Nawaf Hamad (2022)
Training company: Integrated Networks
Prince Sultan University afforded me the knowledge I needed to handle the challenges of the professional workplace and complete my Co-op responsibilities and requirements at Integrated Networks (iNET) company with the best results possible. PSU's standing in the market demonstrates the value it offers towards its students and how it positions them as valuable employees for organizations. The CME department and its curriculum demonstrate PSU's ongoing market research, demonstrating the enhanced value of a Network engineering graduate from PSU in the workplace.
