PRINCE SULTAN DEFENSE STUDIES AND RESEARCH Center (PSDSARC) Progress Review Visit

On Tuesday, 14th November 2023, the Prince Sultan Defence Studies and Research Center visited the Smart System Engineering Lab (SSEL) at Department of Communications and Networks Engineering in Prince Sultan University. This visit came with the goal to network with students and project supervisors to review the progress of collaborative projects. Currently, the SSEL is engaged with two funded projects of PSDSARC titled “The use of Unmanned Ground Vehicles and Thread Mesh Networks in Object Detection and Tracking Techniques” and “Deep Learning based Human Detection at Night-time using Thermal Images via UAV” supervised by Dr. Moustafa M. Nasralla, Dr. Haleem Farman, and Dr. Sohaib Bin Altaf Khattak. The SSEL members and students presented the advancements, challenges, and outcomes of ongoing projects and the PSDSARC members evaluated the achieved objectives of the projects. In addition, a progress report of the projects will be submitted by the end of this month.
