The purpose of this course is to develop the knowledge and skills helpful for students in business management. This course provides an understanding of the legal environment of business. This course is organized around the legal aspects in business, including such topics as contracts, agency, company law, business torts, employment and product liability.

This course introduces the students to the concept of international business and exposes them to the actual practices of such concepts through analysis of cases and interactive exercises. BUS371 Production and Operations Management

This course focuses on product and service design, productivity, capacity planning, process selection, facility layout, and line balancing, quality management theories and paradigms, quality control, supply chain and inventory management. Through examples, students will learn how they can apply innovative Operational methods to gain a competitive edge. An effective Operations Management interacts with various functions in a firm, such as Accounting, Marketing, and Information Technology. A well-run establishment requires that these functions are integrated and consistent with the overall strategy of the firm. This means that every manager, irrespective of their department or specialization, will benefit from being familiar with Operations Management. This course introduces the students to the concepts and tools of strategic management and exposes them to the actual practice of such concepts and tools through analysis of cases, and interactive exercises. The major topics of emphasis in this course include key terms in strategic management, business vision and mission, environmental analyses, strategy implementing, and strategy evaluation.
ETHC 301 Business Ethics

The course aims at providing students with an overview of the most recent concepts related to business ethics along with the stakeholder’s approach. Students will look at issues of corporate social responsibility, ethical decision making, ethical leadership, culture and developing an effective ethics program to guide corporations to distinguish between ethical practices and unethical ones specifically on a thin line between both.
Moreover, this course will provide students with a real-life cases and stories of ethical crisis and dilemmas pertaining to the 21st century learning organization and transformation leadership. That is, the type of ethical organization with authentic leadership to move into more authentic social interactions and responsible behaviors, not only to meet normal ethical standards are rules, but also to become environmentally friendly org and work beyond greening the business it works in.

ELE 110 ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The course presents an overview of entrepreneurship. All steps in the entrepreneurship process, from evaluating a business idea through to the launch of a business, are examined. Useful models and frameworks, complemented by practical advice and guidelines, offer students a solid foundation to launch their own businesses while understanding the various risks their startup may face. This course equips students with a set of lenses through which they can better identify and actively filter new-business opportunities and obtain the skills and confidence to plan and launch their business.
