His Highness Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, honored the student Abdullah bin Khalid Al Mshawwah, the winner of the year reader in the competition (Iqra) for students of Saudi universities organized by Aramco in cooperation with the King Abdullah Cultural Center. The cermoney, which was attended by the Rector Dr. Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Yamani and Dr. Arslan Abid, Vice Rector of Student Services and technical affairs, included provision of a cash prize equal to the prize of the award organizer to encourage the student for this outstanding achievement, which is added to the achievements gained by university students in local and international forums where university students consistently wins advanced positions such as; Dubai environmental debate competition for students of Middle Eastern universities and North Africa, where PSU students won the first place in most of the sessions, the Scientific Conference for University Students, organized by the Ministry of Education where students win advanced positions on an annual basis, and Google contest for programming (IEEE Xtreme Programming Competition) which PSU students usually wins top five positions and many others. The Rector expressed his gratitude to His Highness the Chairman of Board of Trustees on the special care and attention he pays to university students, hoping that this honor will be an incentive for the students to always remain in the foreground. The Rector also stressed that the university administration will spare no efforts in creating all the ways for students to remain always in the foreground.
