The university continues its third five -year plan in its fourth year and honors its distinguished members

The university continues its third five-year plan in its fourth year during a celebration held in the lobby of Building 104 on the occasion of the new academic year which was approved by His Highness Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Muhammad bin Ayyaf, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.

The ceremony included a presentation of the level of achievement in the third five-year plan, and the university goals to achieve next year, in addition to the opening of the academic year and the continuing the work in the third five-year plan.

The ceremony started with a speech by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Yamani, University President, in which he welcomed everyone, especially the new faculty members, wishing that the new academic year would be a year of achievement and progress for the university in light of study returning to campus, after it was remote due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also presented the achievements of the past academic year and the percentages of achievement in the annual plan. After that, Al Yamani unveiled the new academic plan, stressing that it is a qualitative shift in the university’s march, which has continued to rise to the top since its establishment. Then, he presented the foundations and priorities of the new plan, the most important of which are: excellence in education, quality assurance, administrative governance, professional development, social engagement, expansion in employment of technology, development and sustainability of resources, expansion in the establishment of facilities, in addition to the continued expansion of scientific research and encouraging initiatives.

At the end of the ceremony, the University President honored distinguished students, administrative staff and faculty members with various awards such as; Administrative Excellence Award, LMS (Moodle) Excellence Award, Research Excellence Award, President’s Distinguished Teaching Excellence Award, and Distinguished Researchers with a Strong Impact Award.
