Under the Interior Design Department, College of Architecture and Design, a very fruitful collaboration was made with the TLDP to redesign a few spaces of a Southern French Hotel "Le Pre-Du-Lac". The Hospitality studio students (ID315) participated in this competition under the supervision of their instructors Ms Noura Aji and Ms Wafa AlThiab, along with the great teaching assistants Ms Bayan Arnous and Ms Mashael AlMadhi. The students had to redesign the lobby area, the bar area, the restaurant, and the bedroom. 3 groups were selected from as the winners:

The outstanding designs, creative layouts and inspiring outcomes amazed the hotel owner and the TLDP representative who congratulated the students expressing their happiness with their achievements. The students were very proud from their side as well since such projects are considered a great addition to their portfolios and allowed them to experience real life project requirements with real client restrictions.
