The Admissions Unit: Duties & Responsibilities

  • Planning procedures, dates, and conditions for acceptance and transfer of applicants, and announcing them through approved means of communication.
  • Receiving and sorting admission applications through the electronic portal, and classifying them according to approved criteria.
  • Receiving applications from applicants who wish to transfer from other universities to Prince Sultan University through the electronic portal.
  • Preparing lists of students who meet admission criteria, and announcing their admission on the portal after approval by the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, and then issuing university numbers for new students.
  • Coordinating with the Information Technology Center to issue electronic accounts for new students.
  • Determining the levels of students in the preparatory year and the required courses based on approved standards.
  • Exempting students from preparatory year courses after passing promotion tests based on approved criteria.
  • Enabling registration for new students on the electronic portal, and providing a guide on how to add and drop courses.
  • Responding to internal and external admission inquiries received through approved means of communication.
  • Participating in introductory events about the university's programs and admission requirements, as directed by senior management.
  • Transferring students who have completed the preparatory year or who are exempt from it to university programs according to university conditions.
  • Reviewing the content of the Deanship of Admissions and Registration on the university website.
  • Coordinating and following up with the Registration Unit regarding courses required to register new students.
