The Information Systems Unit: Duties & Responsibilities

  • Determining the electronic services to be added in order to develop the electronic system in coordination with the different users.
  • Coordinating with the external provider of the electronic system to implement and test the services.
  • Coordinating with the Information Technology Center and the Standing Committee for Information Security within the university to ensure the readiness of the systems and the level of protection for them.
  • Providing technical and electronic support to enable easy access for the administrative and educational body to view the information they are allowed to access.
  • Coordinating connectivity with electronic services inside and outside the university.
  • Creating new user accounts for faculty and staff members on the system in coordination with the Human Resources Department and Information Technology Center.
  • Equipping the electronic system for the beginning of the semester according to the academic calendar, defining the start and end of semesters, entering the registration and admission periods, and opening and closing periods to make them ready for users.
  • Introducing the services provided by the Deanship to new students and faculty members at the beginning of the semester.
  • Equipping the system with defined periods for entering grades, and determining the minimum and maximum grades that can be awarded to students, and approving them at the end of the semester.
  • Backing up the database periodically and maintaining the system through preventive or remedial maintenance.
