Educational Design Studio Students of the Interior Design Department Shine in the Kinder Space Competition Powered by Buildner Cooperation

In a remarkable showcase of creativity and innovation, students from the Educational Design Studio (ID314) in the interior design department  participated in the prestigious Kinder Space Competition, a global design challenge powered by Buildner Cooperation. The competition, which invites students and young architects and designers to reimagine spaces dedicated to early childhood education, brought together visionary minds from across the world, and the ID314 students cohort was among the standout contributors.

A Vision for the Future of Learning

The Kinder Space Competition aims to inspire the next generation of architects, designers, and educators to think critically about how space can impact childhood development. This year's theme, "Spaces for Play, Learning, and Growth", encouraged participants to rethink traditional classroom structures and design environments that foster creativity, inclusivity, and collaboration in young children.

Students from ID314 studio, known for their forward-thinking approach to educational environments, excelled in the competition with a series of bold and imaginative concepts. Their designs ranged from flexible learning hubs and nature-infused play areas to multifunctional spaces that integrate technology with physical activity.

"At the educational design studio, we emphasize the importance of an environment's role in shaping a child's developmental journey," said Ms. Nojoud Alaskar, the studio's coordinator faculty member. "Our students have consistently impressed us with their innovative ideas, and their participation in the Kinder Space Competition is a testament to their ability to push the boundaries of educational design."
