Research & Initiatives Center About RIC

The Research and Initiatives Center (RIC) at Prince Sultan University plays a key role in strengthening the university’s research and innovation efforts. In line with PSU’s Strategic Plan 2024–2030 and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, RIC focuses on promoting interdisciplinary research, increasing external funding, building industry partnerships, and supporting the commercialization of research. RIC oversees more than 20 research labs and groups across the university’s six colleges, encouraging collaboration on projects that address national priorities and global challenges. It also manages several programs aimed at attracting and supporting researchers at different career stages. To support a strong and sustainable research environment, RIC covers article processing charges and offers incentives for publishing in high-impact journals. The Center also provides internal research grants, organizes conferences and workshops, and recognizes research achievements. In addition, RIC helps advance innovation and entrepreneurship through incubators and applied research initiatives. Through these efforts, RIC contributes to PSU’s growing leadership in research, innovation, and societal development.
