July 10-11, 2020
This year, PSUMUN was privileged to host Dr. Sheray Warmington as our keynote speaker. Her address on discrimination was very appropriate in light of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement that has been echoed around the world in recent months, since the death of George Floyd in the United States. Dr. Warmington’s speech was both educational and inspiring. She encouraged participants not to forget the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights”. With that in mind, Dr. Warmington implored the participants to listen, grow, respect each other and embrace the experience as they go forth in to the world to build a better future for their fellow human beings.
PSU Virtual MUN offered five committees of different difficulties:
- Beginner: UN Women
- Intermediate: UN World Food Programme (UNWFP), UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)
- Advanced: UN Security Council (UNSC)
