In a compelling real-world design challenge, students of the ID212 Commercial Design Studio worked closely with OnTheList, a retail brand known for reselling high-end fashion, accessories, and fragrances. This hands-on project required students to redesign an existing store, taking into account brand identity, customer flow, and multifunctional retail needs.
Students engaged in thorough research, site analysis, and multiple client meetings to ensure that their design proposals were not only visually compelling but also highly functional and tailored to the client’s goals.
Their efforts culminated in a remarkable achievement:
Gold Winner: Leen Qashash
Silver Winner: Jana AlQulaiti
Bronze Winner: Nawal AlFaghm
The project was guided and reviewed by Ms. Shouaa AlRajeh, Ms. Muneerah AlTamimi, and Delphine Leon-Bellancourt, CEO of The Live Design Project, whose expert insights and mentorship played a key role in shaping the students’ design development.
This collaboration exemplifies the power of bridging academia and industry, empowering students to tackle real-life design challenges with professionalism and creativity.
