New Achievement for the Department of Architecture at the 9th Student Research Forum

The Department of Architecture at the College of Architecture and Design participated in the 9th Student Research Forum, held on October 29–30, 2025, through several student contributions supervised by faculty members. These included valuable scientific papers and research posters.
The highlight achievement of the event was the winning of Student Sadeen Al-Marzouqi who won second place in the Research Poster Competition at the forum level, which featured participants from various universities, for her research titled:
"Adaptation and Sustainability in Modular Prefabricated Design: Lessons from MINIMOD/MAPA,"
supervised by Dr. Sonia Lamela.

The department also took part in the 2025 Research Laboratories Exhibition, organized by the Research and Innovation Center (RIC) alongside the forum. The Sustainable Architecture Lab (SA Lab) presented its vision and projects in sustainable design and digital innovation through an interactive visual display and printed materials, which fostered fruitful engagement with visitors.
Among its key projects are the “Digital Twin for Heritage” and the “Green Twin for Riyadh,” reflecting the lab’s alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
