Prince Sultan University's SSEL Shines at 3rd Intelli-Student Workshop in the UK: Pioneering Cutting-Edge Technology for Transformative Pedagogies

Smart Systems Engineering Lab (SSEL) made significant contributions at the 3rd Workshop on “Intelli-Student - A UK-Saudi Partnership Project" held at the University of West London (UWL), UK. This project was led by Dr. Ikram Ur Rehman (UWL) and Dr. Moustafa M. Nasralla, Lab Head of SSEL. The project Intelli-Student is a platform utilizing advanced deep-learning techniques to classify students' emotions based on their gestures and utterances during online sessions. It will enable instructors to enhance their teaching pedagogies, aligning closely with the objectives of UN SDG4, ensuring quality education for all. Joining Dr. Nasralla were his lab members, Dr. Haleem Farman, and Dr. Sohaib Khattak. The Vice Chancellor of the UWL warmly welcomed the PSU team and appreciated the international collaboration between PSU and UWL. During the workshop, Dr. Nasralla and Dr. Haleem delivered keynotes on various aspects of smart education.
