Communications and Networks Engineering Department Lab arrangement for 201 semester

Structures & Material Lab at the College of Engineering holds a seminar entitled (Nonlinear Analysis of Concrete Structures)

The Structures & Material Lab at the College of Engineering held a seminar entitled (Nonlinear Analysis of Concrete Structures) in cooperation with the Cervanka Consulting Company from Czech Republic to keep pace with the development in the field of engineering. The event was held at the large auditorium and was presented by Dr. Jan Cervanka, CEO of the company, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hakim bin Abdul Rahman Al-Majed, Dean of the College of Engineering, faculty members and a group of students.

The seminar focused on explaining the ATENA program, through which you can simulate the real behavior of concrete and reinforced concrete structures including concrete crushing, crushing and productivity. The program gives the ability to inspect and verify the structural design in an easy-to-use graphical environment. It also focuses on reinforced concrete structures, brittle materials and advanced simulation of all types of concrete and reinforced concrete structures.

Dr. Jan explained that these programs allow engineers to quickly design structures according to various design codes, and ATENA helps engineers better understand real structural behavior or the true load-carrying capacity, in addition to supporting the advanced research program in reinforced concrete structures or modern concrete materials.
At the end of the seminar, the guest answered the questions posed by the attendees, and then he visited the materials and facilities laboratory within the framework of cooperation between the laboratory and Servanka Consulting Company.
