Student Activities Committee at the Communications and Networks Engineering Department Organizes a Field Trip to Schneider Electric

The Student Activities Committee at the Communications and Networks Engineering Department, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a field trip to Schneider Electric on Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday, January 22, 2025. This visit provided students with a unique opportunity to gain firsthand insights into industrial production processes.

The visit focused on the production lines of various families of circuit breakers, ranging from low to medium voltage. Students observed the manufacturing and assembly processes of these essential electrical protection devices and learned about their critical role in safeguarding power distribution systems. Additionally, the tour provided a detailed explanation of how electricity is transferred from the source to the final destination, highlighting the technologies and systems used to ensure efficient and reliable power distribution.

Students highly appreciated the experience, as it enhanced their understanding of theoretical concepts through real-world applications in the electrical energy sector. The organizing committee also extended their gratitude to Schneider Electric for their well-structured tour and warm reception, emphasizing the importance of such visits in equipping students with practical knowledge that will benefit their future careers.

This visit aligns with the Student Activity Committee’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with leading companies in the engineering field, bridging the gap between academic studies and industry practices.
