SDG 1: No Poverty

PSU has contributed in several ways to the reporting of SDG No. 1 and the accomplishment of the objective of eradicating poverty. via collaborations, community involvement, teaching, and research. PSU has contributed significantly to initiatives aimed at reducing poverty and has assisted in tracking advancements achieved toward this important sustainable development objective.

Research and Data Collection:

PSU researchers have studied poverty-related topics locally and internationally and have gathered data on them. This study has aided in tracking the advancements made in the fight against poverty and offered insightful information on the causes of poverty.

Monsha'at "Small or Medium Enterprises General Authority" (SMEs) provides job opportunities for the Saudi people and fosters economic empowerment for youth and women. Community Engagement:

PSU has used outreach initiatives to interact with nearby communities. By giving underprivileged communities resources, knowledge, and assistance, these initiatives aim to combat poverty.

Future Leaders for Orphans

Prince Sultan University and the Ensan Orphan Charity organized a field trip for 45 orphans during Ramadan. 25 volunteers, including students, assisted in guiding the children. The trip provided unforgettable experiences, enhanced skills, and raised awareness about volunteering and community service. The children's enthusiasm and smiles emphasized the importance of such initiatives. The collaboration fostered goodwill and strengthened bonds between the university and the local community.

Warm Winter for All

The "Warm Winter for All" event at PSU aimed to provide warmth and comfort to people during harsh winter conditions. Participants were encouraged to buy warm clothing from a reliable website, مؤسسة الشتوية الحقيبة, which offered affordable and reliable options. The event aimed to encourage kindness and kindness among faculty, students, and employees.

Joud is a charitable project which held every semester three several times on a row, the last one was in April 10th, 11th, and 12th 2016, where individuals from community participate in donating electronic devices to CSCEC who will seek for the unfortunate schools to fix and deliver the devices.

Home Investors

Three faculty members have organized two Home Investors Exhibition sessions in collaboration with CSCEC and the Home-Based Investment Committee at Riyadh Chamber of Commerce. They are responsible for conceptualizing, planning, executing, and guiding the event, engaging with stakeholders, scheduling consultations, workshops, networking sessions, and preparing a comprehensive event report. This Exhibition enhances financial literacy skills among the community.

PSU has raised awareness about poverty-related issues through workshops, seminars, and public lectures. These activities have encouraged dialogue and action on poverty reduction through community involvement.

Saudi Human Capital Club

The Saudi Human Capital Club, a social responsibility program at PSU, held its first activities in 2024 under the title "Methodology of Strategic Workforce Planning." The event, hosted by Mr. Malek Al-Enazi, Director of the Strategic Workforce Planning Department, and Mr. Saleh Al-Dairi, moderator, discussed the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development's strategic workforce planning initiative. The initiative aims to increase government spending efficiency, make strategic decisions based on accurate data, and improve work teams' capabilities. Mr. Al-Enezi explained the concepts, standards, and challenges faced by human resources specialists in strategic workforce planning. The club aims to become the preferred forum for all human resources practitioners in the Kingdom, fostering a professional community for exchanging expertise and experiences.

Elite Program in Collaboration with Monsha'at

CSCEC partnered with Elite UK and Monsha’at to provide small and medium enterprises with skills and tools by PSU faculty members from the College of Business who customized the Elite modules in order to provide Monsha'at "Small or Medium Enterprises General Authority" (SMEs) with the most relevant information possible to equip them to grow and succeed in our ever-changing economy which is stated in CSCEC mission and vision.
