The majority of the land area of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is desert. Thus, sustaining life on land is essential in the Kingdom to preserve existing land use and restore or reverse desertification. The use of land to sustain human life is vital in supporting livelihoods.
At Prince Sultan University, the pursuit of global sustainability is a top priority, reflecting the institution's unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship and preservation. In an effort to safeguard biodiversity, combat deforestation, and promote sustainable land management practices, PSU has introduced an innovative Civil and Environmental Engineering program as part of its College of Engineering.
